An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern French armored infantry vehicle VBCI in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Heller. The VBCI is a French wheeled armored infantry fighting vehicle in an 8x8 layout. It serves to carry, protect and support an infantry squad in combat. It is marked out by armor resistant to small arms rounds and splinters, a shaped hull floor and mine protection. In the versions committed on overseas missions, among other places in Afghanistan, the vehicles carried add-on slat armor against shaped-charge projectiles and further features protecting the crew. It combines the high mobility of a wheeled chassis with protection close to that of tracked vehicles.
On a wheeled armored vehicle, pay attention to the running gear and to seating the wheels and axles correctly before closing the hull up. Separate the parts from the sprues with a knife and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and spray the surfaces with an airbrush. For a faithful in-service look, a dark wash in the recesses and the engraved lines and dust or mud pigments on the lower hull and the wheels suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
