A set of tiny shipboard models, Trumpeter Arado Ar 196 (1:350) - the German catapult seaplane for warship dioramas, several pieces in the box.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded set from Trumpeter contains six tiny models of the German Arado Ar 196 catapult seaplane in 1:350 scale. It is not a large stand-alone model but an accessory meant for populating the decks of warship models, of battleships and cruisers. The box contains several pieces; the parts are simple, including clear glazing, and the wings can be built extended or folded as needed.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German shipboard reconnaissance seaplane of the Second World War, launched by catapult from the large surface ships of the Kriegsmarine. It served for reconnaissance, patrol and light defense and it became the standard catapult aircraft of the Kriegsmarine.
Given the size of the parts, work with tweezers and a sharp knife and glue the tiny joints with super glue. Lay a thin base before painting, spray with an airbrush and mask the clear glazing. It works well to paint the aircraft off the ship model and to fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
