This is a decal set from DK Decals, not an aircraft model. The set contains markings for building Hawker Hurricane aircraft flown during the Second World War by Czechoslovak pilots with No. 1, No. 17 and No. 32 Squadron RAF. Unlike a set devoted to No. 312 (Czechoslovak) Squadron, this one covers Czechoslovak airmen scattered among British squadrons. It is an accessory for a build: to use it you need a separate basic Hurricane kit in 1:48 scale, which is not included in the package.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that carried the main weight of the Battle of Britain. After leaving their occupied homeland, many Czechoslovak pilots fought not only in purely Czechoslovak squadrons but also directly in British units — among them No. 1, No. 17 and No. 32 Squadron RAF. Apply the decals onto a smooth, gloss varnish, which will prevent silvering under the decal. Cut the motif out, soak it in lukewarm water and move it into place; for perfect adhesion to the surface detail use a decal softener. Once dry, varnish the surface with a clear coat so that the decals are protected and blend with the paint of the model.
