A SPACE set for the Lockheed Hudson Mk.III in 1:48 scale for the ICM kit. 3D decals of the instrument panels supplemented by photo-etched steel seat belts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the SPACE range for the British Lockheed Hudson Mk.III patrol and light bomber aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is a cockpit accessory, not an airplane kit. The 3D decals bring relief, colored backgrounds and legible dial faces and are applied straight onto the surfaces of the pilot's compartment, so the modeler avoids painting instruments by hand. The manufacturer has designated the set for the ICM kit.
The Hudson came about by converting an American airliner into a military machine, and Great Britain ordered it before the United States entered the war. It served mainly with Coastal Command: it hunted submarines, escorted convoys and flew reconnaissance over the sea. The Mk.III version was one of the most numerous and was given more powerful engines. A glazed cockpit of airliner origin means that more is visible on a model than on types designed for combat.
Spray the surfaces in a dark shade and let them cure. Release the decal in water, seat it and press it down with a cotton swab. Do not use a decal softener with this range; it would attack the printed resin. Bend the steel belts over the edge of a ruler and fix them with a drop of super glue.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The ICM kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
