Responsibility details are not available.
Set of small plastic models of the modernized American carrier fighter F-14 Tomcat in the B/D versions in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The package contains several examples of the aircraft on shared sprues, intended for completing the deck of a model of a modern aircraft carrier or for a naval diorama in the same scale. The models are tiny and simple to build, with a decal sheet carrying American naval markings. These are the later F-14B/D versions - the original F-14A comes as a separate set.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The later F-14B and F-14D versions replaced the troublesome original TF30 engines with more powerful F110 engines; the F-14D was additionally given updated avionics and a new radar. These versions extended the service of the Tomcats until their withdrawal at the start of the 21st century.
Clean the small parts of casting remains carefully and glue them with a light touch. Because of their size a basic spray with an airbrush is enough (typically gray low-visibility schemes), with gentle highlighting of the panels and restrained decals. Keep the color scheme of all the examples the same, so that the deck looks uniform.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
