A set of small Vought F4U-4 Corsair carrier aircraft in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The package contains several injection-molded plastic aircraft and serves to fit out models of aircraft carriers and to build dioramas. It is not one large model but a set of miniature aircraft.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter with a characteristic inverted gull wing. The F4U-4 version received a more powerful engine and better performance and was used at the close of the Second World War and in the period that followed. On models of aircraft carriers in 1:700 scale it completes a period-faithful deck group.
Carefully separate the small parts from the sprue gates with a sharp knife. Given their size, gluing with cyanoacrylate and painting with an airbrush or a fine-pointed brush work well. The markings can be suggested with decals or with small painted details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
