It is not a vehicle kit but a detail conversion set that replaces the running gear, that is, the tracks and the road wheels, with a more faithful and more finely engraved rendering than the basic parts usually offer.
The BMP-2 is a Soviet tracked infantry fighting vehicle introduced at the end of the 1970s. Compared with the older BMP-1 it received a new turret with a two-man crew and a 30 mm automatic cannon. The running gear consists of six road wheels on each side and tracks with a characteristic pattern, which this set captures.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent and free them of the remains of the print supports. Cut the supports off carefully, sand the mating surfaces with respiratory protection and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting; the running gear comes alive well with a wash and dust pigments for mud effects.
The set is an accessory, not a model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the target kit are not included in the package.
