Captured KV-1 (1:72, Easy Model) is a finished, assembled and painted model of the Soviet heavy tank in the finish of a captured vehicle. Nothing is glued or painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's model from the range of finished display pieces. The vehicle is assembled and painted at the factory, including markings corresponding to a captured machine, so it only has to be unpacked and set in a display case. It is not a kit and no glue, paints or decals are needed to display it.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank with a 76.2 mm gun and massive armor, used from the beginning of the Second World War. Captured vehicles are a common technical feature of every conflict: machines taken over were repaired, re-marked and put into service by the other side, or else served for training, trials and analysis of the design. For a modeler such machines are interesting for the combination of the original design with markings or a finish different from those they carried in their initial service. The subject is treated purely technically, as a question of finish and markings.
A captured finish is a rewarding addition to a display case, because it breaks the monotony of the usual schemes: the same silhouette in a different finish catches the eye at once. It looks good standing next to the same type in its initial finish, where the difference in color and markings is visible at first glance. In 1:72 scale such a pair takes up very little room on a shelf.
Take hold of the model by the hull, not by the gun barrel or by the detail on the fenders. Remove dust with a soft brush, dry, without water or cleaning agents. Avoid direct sunlight, which gradually changes the shade of the applied paint.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit and nothing is glued or painted.
