The set from the O-max range is a masking extra for a model of the L-29 Delfin aircraft in 1:72 scale. The masks are used everywhere the transition between colors is to be sharp and straight, that is, on the framing of the glazed cockpit and on other precisely bounded surfaces of the airframe. The model is sold separately; the kits the set fits are given in the name of the item.

The Delfin, an aircraft with a special position

The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft designed and series-produced in Czechoslovakia. From the beginning of the 1960s it became the standard training machine for the airmen of most states of the Warsaw Pact and several thousand examples were made. In design it put its money on simplicity, robustness and the ability to operate even from grass surfaces, which secured it a place in basic and advanced training for long years.

How to work with the masks

• Wash the parts of the cockpit with lukewarm water before sticking them on.
• Apply the paint in several misted passes.
• Let it set, and only then lift a mask from underneath.
• Retouch any small place left unsprayed with a brush.
• Unify the finished frames with a final layer of matte varnish.
