Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the German Scheuch-Schlepper tractor in 1:72 scale from the brand Special Armour. It is a kit with a short-run tooling complemented by resin and etched parts, so the build is somewhat more demanding and suits more advanced modelers. Following the real machine, the tractor can be built in the form for ordinary towing, or with the fork for lifting and towing away an aircraft that has landed. Check the exact package contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Scheuch-Schlepper was a small German tractor originally derived from agricultural machinery and adapted for ground handling of the Messerschmitt Me 163 rocket fighter. The Me 163 could not move under its own power after landing, because it took off from a jettisonable dolly and landed on an extendable skid. This special tractor with its fork-shaped lifting gear served to pick it up and tow it away on the base.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off; protect your airways while sanding. Short-run plastic parts have heavier sprue attachments, so clean the joints carefully and check the fit by dry-fitting. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and the resin and etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. A small vehicle in a small scale comes to life with a restrained wash, edge highlighting and fine dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
