An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/1 half-track armored personnel carrier in the Ausf.C version in 1:72 scale, from the Fast Assembly range by Italeri. The set is designed for a quick and easy build with a lower parts count, and the box usually holds two models. The decal sheet offers several marking options.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was the standard German half-track infantry carrier of the Second World War. The Ausf.C version was marked by a simpler front armor plate of flat panels and was built in the first half of the war. The carrier took an infantry squad into battle, served as the basis for dozens of specialized versions (command, ambulance, anti-tank and mortar-armed) and became one of the symbols of German mechanized infantry.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with a thin plastic cement; the simpler breakdown will suit less experienced builders too. Paint the interior and the running gear before you close the hull. Add camouflage patches to the Dunkelgelb base, bring out the panels with a wash and create dust effects with pigments on the fenders and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
