This is a modeling material, not a kit. The black rigging thread from Infini-Model serves to imitate the bracing wires, control cables and antenna wires on aircraft models. The roll length is 145 feet, that is 45 m, and the Medium gauge is intended for the large scales 1:24 to 1:32. The thread is black from the factory, so in the great majority of cases it does not have to be painted.

Use

• Bracing wires between the wings of biplanes and older structures.
• The antenna wire between the fin and the fuselage or the canopy.
• Control cables of the rudders and small cables in the landing gear bays.
• Lashing and towing cables on dioramas and on models of vehicles.

How to work with the thread

The thread is elastic, so it can be tensioned while being fitted and once secured it holds its shape without sagging, which is the main difference from stretched sprue that breaks easily in handling. The ends are most easily secured with a drop of super glue into a pre-drilled hole or under a photo-etched fitting; trim the excess with sharp scissors only once it is fully dry. Rig the model only when it is finished, painted and clear coated, because masking around tensioned cables is very difficult. Any unwanted sheen can be knocked back with a light coat of matte clear.
