It is neither a kit nor an accessory for a model - it is a luminaire for a modeling bench. An LED lamp with a clamp to screw onto the top of a bench, with a luminous flux of 1400 lm, stepless dimming, an adjustable color temperature of 3000-6500 K and a color rendering index of Ra over 92. It is the more compact and lighter rendering (1.1 kg) - it takes up no bench space and lights where you happen to be working.
As long as you light the work with a ceiling light, you work in the dark: the hand with the brush shadows exactly the spot you are looking at. On parts a few millimeters across - a photo-etched piece, an engraved line, the eye of a figure - that makes the work practically impossible. A lamp clamped to the bench gets the light above your hand and the shadow disappears. At the same time it does not stand on the top, so you will not knock into it while building.
If you were to remember a single thing from this whole description, let it be this. Light has a color of its own, and that decides how you see the colors on a model. Warm light around 3000 K is yellowish and shifts shades - under it a mixed paint looks different from what it really is. Daylight in the 5500-6500 K band, by contrast, matches daylight and shows a shade as it really is. It hurts most when mixing paints and painting figures: a shade carefully hit under a yellow bulb is taken to the window the next day - and it is somewhere else entirely. Countless modelers have ruined finished work that way. A high color rendering index of Ra over 92 is the other half of the same coin: the light does not distort colors. And because the temperature is adjustable, you switch to daylight for painting and to a warmer setting for a long evening of gluing, which irritates the eyes less.
For modelers who paint, mix shades and assemble small parts on an ordinary bench and do not need to reach with the light across the whole top. It is a work lamp, not a magnifier one - the manufacturer states no magnifier for it.
An electrical appliance: use it only with the supplied adapter, do not cover it and do not expose it to damp. Tighten the clamp onto a firm bench top.
