A magnifier on an arm with a clamp that you screw to the top of a desk. Around the lens is a ring of powerful SMD LEDs with a power draw of roughly 9 W and a light color of around 6500 K, that is in the daylight range. It is powered from the 230 V mains.
The figure 3D on magnifiers does not mean stereoscopic vision - it is 3 diopters, that is the optical power of the lens. Diopters are converted to magnification by dividing by four and adding one: 3 diopters therefore correspond to 1.75x magnification, exactly as the name says.
Let us be honest: 1.75x is a mild magnification. And that is precisely the good news. This is a working magnifier for long sessions, not a microscope. The higher the magnification, the shorter the working distance - you have to bring your nose up to the part, your hand barely fits under the lens, and after a while eye strain and a headache follow. A mild magnification with a large lens, on the other hand, leaves plenty of room under the magnifier for your hands and a tool, and you can stay with it for hours. That is a difference appreciated by anyone who has ever tried building under a strong magnifier.
