Ammo Matt Shader Set Ocean Tones brings together three blue and turquoise toning shades for water subjects.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three toning tones: a turquoise, an azure and a deep blue. They serve to deepen and shade a finished paint job. They cover only weakly, so you cannot start from bare plastic with them, nor replace an ordinary color over a large surface. The tones are designed so that they can be combined with each other and run one into the next.
A water surface on a diorama needs more than one blue. Layering step by step sets the shallows apart from the depths, lets sand show through near the shore and keeps a lighter streak in the wake behind a ship's hull. The same logic shades naval paint schemes, the cockpits of naval aviation machines and the blue parts of civilian vehicles. They also serve well on glazing and clear parts, where a thin coat suggests the thickness of the glass.
Builders of ships and harbor scenes, makers of water bases and everyone who paints figures and needs to control the transitions in blue will appreciate it. Experience with toning is not necessary; you can start on a practice piece. Ventilate while working and protect your eyes against splashes. Anyone who mostly builds ground vehicles will use the blue tones on tools, transport crates and markings.
