A publication from the ARMADA series, volume number 3, devoted to the light tank Renault FT. The author is V. Francev.
Responsibility details are not available.
The title comes out as the third volume of the ARMADA series of the publishing house Jakab Publishing and is devoted entirely to a single machine, the light tank Renault FT. The subtitle about a founder refers to the place this tank holds in the history of armored vehicles.
The Renault FT is a French light tank from the end of the First World War. Against the unwieldy colossi that preceded it, it was small, cheap and produced in large numbers. What is essential, however, is the layout: the driver at the front, a rotating turret with the weapon above him and the engine at the rear. It is precisely this arrangement that became the norm by which tanks were built throughout the following century, and that is why the FT is spoken of as a founder. The crew consisted of two men and the machine carried, depending on the rendering, either a machine gun or a short 37 mm gun. It lasted in the armament of a number of armies long after the end of the war.
It suits readers with an interest in the history of armored vehicles as well as modelers who are building a model of this machine and looking for references on the rendering, the insignia and the coloring. The extent, the format and the number of illustrations are stated by the publisher.
The publication itself is supplied. A model, decals and accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
