About product

AMMO ATOM Early WWII Japanese Army Colors Set

This set contains water-thinnable acrylic paints in bottles of 20 ml, put together especially for the finishes of vehicles of the Imperial Japanese Army from the early phase of the Second World War. The shades match the earthy and olive green tones used in China and on the Pacific islands roughly in the years 1937 to 1942. The ATOM range is an acrylic base optimized for application by brush as well as airbrush; it is self-leveling, quick-drying and covers well.

Use

  • Suitable for the finish of Japanese light tanks and tankettes of the beginning of the war and of other army equipment.
  • The paints can be applied straight from the bottle, or thinned for an airbrush with the recommended thinner of the same range.
  • As an acrylic it is thinned and the tools cleaned with water, and once dry it forms a durable film.
  • It is recommended to apply it over a cured primer in thin coats.

Who the set is for

The set is intended for modelers who build Japanese ground equipment of that period and want a matched palette of period-faithful shades at hand without having to mix.

The paints are water-thinnable, non-toxic and odorless. When airbrushing, provide ventilation and protect your airways.
