ATOM Soviet-Afghan War 1979-89 Soviet Camouflage Colors Set is a set of four shades for Soviet vehicles of the Afghan conflict.
Responsibility details are not available.
These four bottles from the ATOM line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez cover the colors of Soviet vehicles deployed between 1979 and 1989. The set holds a dark yellow tone, a yellow-brown, the classic Soviet 4BO protective green and one washable dust shade for dusting down a finished paint job.
Vehicles left the factories in a uniform green, but dust, sun and mountain service shifted them into sandy territory within a few weeks. A green base combined with the yellow tones therefore lets you mix both a freshly delivered machine and a vehicle after long months in the passes. The dust tone can then be allowed to settle only where dirt would really hold, that is around the running gear, on the fenders and under the leading edges.
It suits builders of armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and trucks alike, whatever the size of the model. It will also be appreciated by modelers who want the colors of a single conflict together in one place rather than tracking the shades down one at a time. It saves space in the workshop too, because it replaces the several separate bottles the same palette would otherwise be put together from.
Store out of the reach of children, and make sure the room is ventilated when spraying.
