BLACK is a fine powdered pigment from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, intended for weathering, that is, for realistically dirtying and aging a finished model. It is a modeling weathering product, not a kit. A pigment is not a liquid paint: it is supplied as a dry powder in a 35 ml jar and is applied to the model dry with a brush, or mixed with a thinner or a fixer. Black is one of the basic shades of the whole pigment range.
Pick the powder up with a soft brush and rub it into the surface. It holds best on a matte varnish, while a smooth gloss surface repels pigment. Build it up gradually and combine the shades; that is how natural depth appears. Until the pigment is fixed it can be wiped away at any time, which is useful while you fine-tune the result. Once you are satisfied, fix it with a pigment fixer or with lacquer thinner, letting it be drawn under the powder by capillary action. Apply the liquid next to the pigment, not straight into it, so that the deposit is not washed away. Once dry, the pigment returns to its matte, dry look.
For modelers of military vehicles, aircraft, dioramas and figures who want to move a model from freshly painted to realistically used. The black pigment is very strong, so use it sparingly and add it in small layers.
The pigment is a loose powder. Do not breathe it in, do not blow into it and work in a well-ventilated area, ideally with respiratory protection. Open the jar carefully, as the powder is easily stirred up. Keep out of the reach of children.
