Model Scene Pine 180 to 220 mm is a finished, handmade model tree for dioramas and model railroad layouts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished handmade tree that imitates a pine and is supplied assembled and finished in color. It is not a kit and not a loose material: the tree only has to be planted into a prepared hole in the terrain and fixed. The figure of 180 to 220 mm gives the range of heights the pieces fall within. Because it is handmade, no two trees are entirely alike, which is an advantage when building a group of trees.
The pine has a characteristic look: a bare trunk with no lower branches and a crown set high, often asymmetric and open. In a scene it therefore does not block the space below it the way a spruce does and lets figures and vehicles beneath it stand out. The stated height corresponds to different real dimensions depending on the scale of the scene: a tree roughly 200 mm tall represents a tree of around seven meters in 1:35 scale, roughly ten meters in 1:48 and over fourteen meters in 1:72. Choose where the tree fits accordingly.
Drill a hole in the terrain to match the foot of the trunk and glue the tree in with PVA or cyanoacrylate; with heavier pieces a two-part filler helps. Until the glue sets, watch that it stands upright, as a leaning trunk shows at first glance. Cover the foot of the trunk with growth, litter and a fine scatter, so that the transition between the tree and the ground is not visible. Plant a group of trees at irregular intervals and with the crowns turned differently, as a regular grid reads as unnatural. Match the color with the diorama only very lightly and always after planting.
This is a scenery accessory for building a diorama, not a model kit. The base, the glue and any further materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Handmade production means that the individual pieces differ in shape and height within the stated range.
