British Commando’s Plaque 25mm

British Commandos plaque 25 mm

This is a diorama accessory from the Dynamo-Models range, not a vehicle kit and not a figure. The plaque carries the badge of the British commandos and serves to mark a base, a display case or a finished scene. The size of 25 mm is given directly in the name; the same subject also comes out in a 40 mm variant, so go by the figure in millimeters when choosing.

Whom the badge is tied to

The British commandos came about in 1940 as volunteer formations meant for raiding and landing operations against the coast of occupied Europe. Their training took place mainly in Scotland and their men took part in raids on the Norwegian and French coasts and in the Normandy landings. The badge of the British commandos is therefore a usual accessory for scenes from coastal and landing operations.

How to use the plaque

A plaque belongs in a clearly visible place, most often on the front edge of a base or on the frame of a display case. Try the layout dry: the middle of the front edge reads formally, while shifting it toward the edge leaves room for a caption with the name of the scene. The badge comes out best on a plain and rather dark ground, because a broken-up surface visually breaks up its design. Leave a clear margin around the plaque so that it is not lost among the details of the diorama. Anyone who builds several scenes on one army will do well to keep the size of the plaques and their placing the same. The material and the surface finish are stated on the box, so choose the finishing procedure according to what you find in the package.
