Where the color is used

A bronze tone suits fittings and hinges, ornamental elements, clasps and buckles, small accessories on figures, statuettes and monuments in a diorama, and also ship propellers, which are often made of bronze. On fantasy and gaming figures it suits shields, hilts, helmets and jewelry. It also comes into its own as a warm counterpart to cold steel wherever a model needs more than one metallic shade.

How to work with the marker

• Try the shade on an offcut of plastic first, so you know how it looks once dry.
• Apply a thin coat; shades that look metallic easily merge into a blotch when laid on heavily.
• Let the first coat dry before you go over the area a second time.
• Wipe the tip from time to time, so that it does not pick up paint from an already painted surface.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for thinning, cleaning and any over-varnishing.
• Store the marker carefully closed, so that the tip does not dry out.
