Brush 6 STANDARD is a modeling brush of size 6 from the Standard line of the Mirage Hobby brand. It suits the medium and larger surfaces of a model, glazes and the base coats of smaller parts.

A single brush of size 6 from the Standard line. The number in the name is the designation of the size: the higher it is, the wider the stroke and the more paint the brush takes up before you have to dip it again. Size six belongs to the middle class, as for small details it is already too big and for a whole fuselage, on the contrary, too small, but that is exactly why it is the size a modeler reaches for most often. Mirage Hobby is a brand with a wide range for modelers, from kits to supplies for painting; the brushes are only one of its branches.
A brush lasts a long time only when paint does not dry in it. Wash it out right after work: acrylics with water or a brush cleaner, enamels and lacquers with the matching thinner, or with a universal cleaner. Never let the paint run down to the metal ferrule, as dried paint there spreads the bristles and the stroke opens out irreversibly. After washing, draw the bristles back to their original shape with your fingers and let the brush dry bristles upwards, never leaning bristles down on the bottom of a jar. For a dry brush it is better to keep an older piece, as that technique wears the bristles out quickly.
For modelers who paint with a brush and need one universal piece for ordinary work, and also for those who spray with an airbrush and use a brush for glazes, retouching and local effects. It is worth having several sizes in the jar and not trying to cover everything with one brush.
Paints, thinners and brush cleaner are not included in the package.
