The number in the name is the designation of the size: five already has a noticeably wider stroke than the detail sizes and takes up more paint, so it covers a smaller and a medium surface evenly and without repeated dipping. Mirage Hobby is a brand with a wide range for modelers, from kits to supplies for painting; the brushes are only one of its branches.
Wash the brush out right after work: acrylics with water or a brush cleaner, enamels and lacquers with the matching thinner. Dried paint at the metal ferrule spreads the bristles and the stroke opens out permanently, so when cleaning, rinse the bristles right up to the edge of the ferrule. After washing, draw the bristles into shape and let the brush dry bristles upwards, never leaning bristles down on the bottom of a container. For a dry brush set an older piece aside, as that technique wears the bristles markedly.
For modelers who paint with a brush and need a size between detail and surface, and also for those who finish a model by hand after an airbrush. It is the typical size for equipment and cars, where smaller continuous parts are being painted all the time.
