The size Bullet-Proof Bolt w/Wrench Flats 0.6 mm gives a head that will not be lost on a model of an armored vehicle even under paint. The box holds 242 pieces.

A distinct shape that will survive a coat of primer and the final weathering and stay legible. The box from GAS HANS holds 242 pieces and the mounting hole stays at four tenths of a millimeter, the same as with the previous size.
In 1:35 scale the head corresponds to 2.1 centimeters on the real subject, that is a proper bolt of the kind used to draw armor plate together, or on the hinges of heavy hatches and the flanges of final drives. In the larger scales the same part serves as a smaller fastener on engine covers and on the bodywork of machines. On wheeled vehicles it falls naturally on the feet of bumpers and on the mounts of towing hooks.
The part will seat itself in the hole as soon as you press on it with the tip of a toothpick. The bolt is already large enough to be turned, and it pays to make use of that: line the flats for a wrench up in one direction, because heads turned at random on a single flange catch the eye at once. Wipe the surplus glue away immediately, before it sets. If the surface around the hole cracks, you are drilling too close to an edge; move the spot a little further in. Once varnished, bring the heads out with dark running, otherwise they will merge with the surrounding surface.
A drill and glue have to be your own.
