Miniature wing bolts serve for detailing models of military equipment, aircraft and dioramas. It is not a kit nor an accessory for one particular vehicle - it is fastening material that a modeler places where the subject carries a hand-tightened bolt with a winged head: on tool brackets, the fastening of covers, tarpaulins, headlights or auxiliary tanks. The figure of 1.0 mm is the size according to the manufacturer's marking, not the scale of a model.
Molded or engraved detail on a kit tends to be flat and after painting it disappears entirely. A separate three-dimensional part, on the contrary, casts a shadow, so it can be made out on a model even from a distance, and it gives the viewer the scale of the whole vehicle. The GAS HANS range covers sizes from 1.0 to 3.5 mm, so a size matching the scale you are building in can be chosen - in small scales the smallest sizes, with large ones the bigger ones instead.
Work with fine tweezers and over a light-colored surface, so that the small parts do not get lost. First mark the place where it is to sit and drill the hole with a micro drill, then set the part in place with super glue applied with a pin and immediately draw the excess off with the corner of a paper towel. Painting is more comfortable only after it has been set in place: first primer, then the base shade and finally a dry brush or a pigment that gives the head a metallic cast.
