A wing bolt is a bolt with projections that can be tightened with the fingers without a wrench - on real equipment it holds covers, tool brackets, tarpaulins or headlights. This set offers its miniature modeling form in a size of 1.5 mm. It is not a kit but fastening material for detailing a model. The figure of 1.5 mm is the size according to the manufacturer's marking, not a scale.
It is precisely the small hardware that decides whether a model acts as a reduced reality or as a smooth plastic shell. A three-dimensional part casts a shadow of its own that no painted imitation can take the place of. The size of 1.5 mm suits where the bolt is to be apparent at first glance, typically in medium and larger scales. The range covers sizes from 1.0 to 3.5 mm, so it can be graded as needed.
Grip the part with tweezers with fine tips and work over a surface from which a small thing can be picked up easily. Drill the hole with a micro drill, so that the part does not sit on a drop of glue alone. Glue with super glue applied with a pin or a wire - a drop straight from the tube is too big for this size. Spray primer on before painting and bring the head out with a dry brush at the end.
