The size of 2.0 mm belongs among the larger items of the GAS HANS range of wing bolts and it finds a use above all in larger scales, where a finer part would disappear. It is not a kit but modeling fastening material intended for adding details to a model already built or part-built. The number in the name is the size of the part according to the manufacturer, not the scale of a model.
Wing bolts appear on real equipment everywhere something needs to be released quickly without tools: on hoods, tool brackets, jerrycans, tarpaulins, searchlights or battery covers. On a model such places tend to be merely indicated, or they are missing entirely. A separate part solves them convincingly and at the same time gives the viewer the scale - a clearly legible detail subconsciously conveys how big the whole machine is.
Think the placement out in advance from photographs of the subject; randomly scattered bolts act worse than none. Drill the hole with a micro drill, set the part in place with super glue and draw the excess off immediately. Larger heads will also stand careful touching up with a brush once the base shade has dried, so they can be set apart from the sheet metal around them.
