A plaster mix with an extended working time. Once it has dried it can be cut and carved, so a rock face arises on the model itself. A net weight of 1.58 kg.

The powder mix differs from ordinary plaster above all in how long it stays yielding after being mixed with water. A modeler gets more time to spread it, which with larger areas is the difference between calm work and a race against the clock. The main strength, though, comes only afterward: a set layer can be cut with a knife, carved and scraped, and it does not crumble while that goes on.
A rock massif therefore does not have to arise as an impression from a mold. It is carved straight into the layer on the model, so two faces never come out quite the same and one and the same impression is not repeated on a diorama. The manufacturer advises the compound for rocks, bridge abutments, piers and other formations that are meant to look hewn out of a single piece of rock.
Shallow scoring will also put the regular pattern of a stone wall, brickwork or paving blocks into the surface. The package has a net weight of 3.5 pounds, that is 1.58 kilograms, which for a home diorama is enough for several separate formations.
The cured surface takes the liquid pigments of the Earth Colors line from the same brand, so the finished shape is toned only at the end and the shade can be built up in layers. It is supplied as a dry powder, and water, a container and cutting tools are needed for the work. Carving a set layer creates fine dust, so goggles and a mask are not a needless luxury.
