A set of model markers aimed at chipped paint and worn edges. Small touches of the tip do the work a brush is too coarse for.
Responsibility details are not available.
A themed set of model markers intended to imitate worn and chipped paint. Real machines do not wear at random: the paint disappears where the crew climbs, where a foot rests, where hatches rub against each other and where an edge strikes a load. A model that has these traces in the right places looks used, even if it is otherwise clean.
You apply the color straight from the tip, with no mixing and no airbrush, so you dose it by individual touches. The set belongs among the markers for accenting and aging a surface, which matches its purpose.
Proceed sparingly and add a little at a time, because taking it away is no longer possible. Make small irregular touches with the point of the tip, never a continuous line, and place the chipping only where it has a reason. The surface must be dry and degreased. Try a stroke on an offcut first and only then go to the model. You can unify the finished area with a clear coat once the paint is completely dry. The exact procedure for this set is given in the instructions on the packaging.
It will be appreciated by a modeler who builds vehicles, aircraft or figures in the field and wants to take the factory look away from them. It is a simple way to try the technique of aging a surface without much equipment. The package holds the set of markers stated; the model, further paints, clear coats and thinners are not included, unless stated otherwise.
