A set of pens for clothing and ornaments

A themed set from the PLAYMARKER range whose shades aim at the cloth parts of figures and at their ornamental accessories. It will serve for cloaks, tunics, hoods, belts and hems and also for small jewelry and clasps. The shades are put together as a whole, so they hold up side by side on a single figure and you do not have to tune them in any way.

Why a pen instead of a brush

The pen is held like a pencil and the paint is applied directly by the tip. A palette, mixing and washing brushes all fall away, the work can be broken off at any time and taken up again. With small areas such as the hems of clothing and ornaments, it also helps that you can rest your hand and the tip points exactly where you are looking.

How to work with the pens

• Try a new shade first on an offcut of plastic, not straight on the figure.
• Go from the larger areas of the clothing to the hems, clasps and jewelry.
• Apply thin coats and let them dry, and only then go over the area a second time if need be.
• Wipe the tip from time to time, so that it does not carry paint from a place already painted.
• Deal with thinning, cleaning and any varnishing over according to the maker's directions on the packaging.
• Keep the pens carefully closed, otherwise the tips will dry out.

Who it is for

It will be valued by players who need to get a whole squad into color quickly and without a palette set out, and by modelers who find it useful to lay down the color of clothing and then tune it with a brush. Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry; on a degreased surface the paint holds considerably better.

A set of pens is supplied. Figures, varnishes and tools are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise. Keep out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated room.
