CONCRETE

Abteilung 502 Concrete - modeling pigment

A dry loose modeling pigment from Abteilung 502 in the Concrete shade, that is a neutral concrete gray. It is a fine weathering powder, not a liquid paint - it is applied dry and serves for weathering a model that is already painted as well as diorama elements. Concrete is a cool, slightly beige-gray tone matching concrete, cement and render; it is more neutral and grayer than the warm dust shades. It comes in a bottle (usually 20 ml of loose powder).

Use

• Pick the pigment up with a soft brush and rub it in dry onto concrete surfaces, curbs, bunkers, plinths and the dusty parts of a diorama.
• To anchor it permanently, fix it with a pigment fixer or with odorless mineral spirits; once fixed the shade darkens slightly and goes flat.
• Combine it with dust and earth tones for natural soiling of concrete surfaces.
• Dust the surplus loose powder off lightly before fixing, so that you keep the effect under control.

Who the pigment is for

For diorama builders and modelers of vehicles who want to render concrete, cement and render, or to soil and dust surfaces neutrally in a cool gray tone.

The pigment is a fine loose powder - do not inhale it, work out of any draft and with respiratory protection. Fixers are flammable, so use them in a ventilated space. Keep out of the reach of children.
