Three dark green trees 10.1 to 12.7 cm tall. The middle size of the range, suitable for the second plane and as a lone tree on a smaller base.
Responsibility details are not available.
At a height of 10.1 to 12.7 cm this trio fills the gap between the small trees in the foreground and the tallest pieces that make up the outline of a wood. The middle size tends to be the most useful one on dioramas, precisely because it manages both roles: in a group it makes depth, while on its own it can be set up as a tree by a farm building without outgrowing it.
The foliage has a saturated dark tone with no pale tips, of the kind a crown has when it grows in the shade of taller neighbors. The texture of the foliage is applied in irregular clumps, so the branches show between them and the crown does not read as a solid ball. The trunk is thin, finely drawn and pliable enough to take shaping.
Inside are 3 pieces. Before seating them it pays to look each tree over and open the branches out slightly to the sides, so that the shapes are not alike. Seating is handled by the pin under the trunk, and temporary standing by the removable disc. Anyone who wants the tree held fast drills a hole and secures the pin in it with glue.
In 1:87 a piece like this matches a tree roughly nine to eleven meters tall, in 1:72 about seven to nine meters, and in 1:35 something over three and a half meters. In large scales it will therefore serve more as a mature bush or a young linden by a path, whereas on a layout it is a full-grown tree. When planning a scene it therefore pays to decide the scale first and choose the size of the trees according to it, not the other way round.
