This is a diorama accessory from the Dynamo-Models range, not a vehicle kit and not a figure. The plaque carries the Cross of Lorraine, given in the name as Croix Lorraine, and serves to mark a base, a display case or a finished scene. The size of 25 mm is given directly in the name; the same subject also comes out in a 40 mm variant, so go by the figure in millimeters when choosing.
The Croix Lorraine, that is the Cross of Lorraine with its two crossbars, is an old regional symbol which in 1940 became the badge of Free France. It appeared on flags, on the fuselages of aircraft and on the sides of the vehicles of French units fighting on alongside the Allies. Unlike divisional badges it is not tied to a single formation, so it suits scenes from the whole range of French units.
A plaque belongs in a clearly visible place, most often on the front edge of a base or on the frame of a display case. Try the layout dry: the middle of the front edge reads formally, while shifting it toward the edge leaves room for a caption with the name of the scene. The badge comes out best on a plain and rather dark ground, because a broken-up surface visually breaks up its design. Leave a clear margin around the plaque so that it is not lost among the details of the diorama. Anyone who builds several scenes on one army will do well to keep the size of the plaques and their placing the same. The material and the surface finish are stated on the box, so choose the finishing procedure according to what you find in the package.
