DecalFix 28ml Bottle

Humbrol DecalFix 28 ml

DecalFix is a modeling setting and softening liquid intended for waterslide decals. It is made by the traditional British brand Humbrol and is supplied in a 28 ml bottle. The product helps a decal to adhere firmly to the surface of a model, softens it slightly and makes it easier to conform to curved areas and engraved detail. It is a gentle medium suitable for ordinary decals - unlike aggressive softeners it does not dissolve the decal, it only pulls it down to the surface.

Use

• Apply a thin coat of the liquid to the place where the decal is to go.
• Move the decal from the water onto the prepared area and fine-tune its position.
• Gently blot off the excess liquid and press the decal down so that it settles with no bubbles.
• Let it dry thoroughly and only then coat it with varnish.
• It works best over a smooth gloss varnish, which limits dulling and silvering under the decal.

Who it is for

It will be appreciated by modelers who want decals with no silvering and a perfect fit over contoured surfaces. It suits the building of aircraft, military vehicles, cars and figures and works with the decals of most makers. For the best result combine it with a gloss varnish under the decals and a matte varnish over them.

Keep out of the reach of children, use in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with the eyes.
