It is neither a part of a model nor a ready-made mask for a particular kit, but a workshop aid. It serves to cover areas that are not to receive paint and to cut your own masks to a shape you design yourself. The product carries a digital camouflage motif, that is the modern pixel pattern used on present-day equipment, which is at the same time the most demanding type of camouflage to spray by hand.

How the aid is used

• Draw the shape of the mask out and cut it with a sharp scalpel, running the cut in one movement.
• Lay the mask on the model and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not creep underneath.
• Apply the paint square to the surface and in thin coats, never at an angle under the edge of the mask.
• You get a crisp edge to the pattern with the mask pressed down, and a soft transition with the mask held a little above the surface.
• Lift the mask off as soon as the paint has set, not after it has fully cured.

Who the aid is for

For modelers of present-day equipment who spray complex multi-color patterns and do not want to depend on ready-made mask sets for a particular model. It also suits cases where there is no mask set on the market for the subject and the pattern has to be prepared by hand.

Always cut with a sharp blade, as a blunt blade tears the material instead of cutting it. Paints, glue and cutting tools are not included in the package.
