A weathering product from the range of AMMO of Mig Jimenez aimed at the effect of dry earth. Dry earth is among the most common traces left on a vehicle: light dust settled in corners and recesses, a deposit on the lower edges and around the running gear, a matte film that takes factory cleanliness away from a machine. That step is usually what distinguishes a model from a nicely sprayed figure.
Dust does not settle evenly, and that is the whole point. It stays where neither wind nor the hand of the crew reaches: in recesses, behind projections, in the corners between the bed and the body, around fasteners and under edges. There is more of it on horizontal surfaces than on vertical ones, and the higher above the ground, the less there is. If you follow that logic, the result looks convincing even without further layers of effects.
The method of application, the thinner and any fixing are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; stick to them, because weathering products differ in composition. In general it pays to start weakly and add in layers, because removing an excess is always more work than adding more. Work on a perfectly dry surface and keep checking the result in the light the model will finally stand in; under a desk lamp the degree of the effect is hard to judge.
Brushes, thinner and other material are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
