The set from Trumpeter contains several small models of the Grumman E-1B Tracer carrier-borne early warning aircraft in 1:700 scale. It serves to fill out the flight decks and hangars of aircraft carrier kits in the same scale. The parts are injection-molded in plastic.
The Grumman E-1 Tracer was an airborne early warning aircraft of the US Navy. Its recognition feature was the large radome above the fuselage. The aircraft was derived from the design of related carrier machines and carried out radar search and control duties.
The parts are very small in this scale, so use tweezers, a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic. Clean the mold seam lines up carefully and spray the models with an airbrush or a fine brush in thin coats. The radome and the propellers call for particular care.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
