A set of figures of the Soviet border guard from the period of the Second World War in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Soviet border guard was responsible in the Second World War for guarding the state frontier. It served at permanent guard posts and differed from field units in its task and in small details of dress. When the fighting moved directly onto the frontier in 1941, the border guards were among the first to come into direct contact; their detachments then performed guard and rear-area duty behind the front.
The package brings figures of Soviet border guards in 1:32 scale. For figures that is among the larger scales: an adult figure measures around five and a half centimeters in it, so the face and the individual items of equipment are discernible on it. The figures suit models of vehicles in the same scale as well as a scene of their own on a base.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry; paint holds badly on a greasy surface. Try the adhesion of the base on one piece first and only then paint the whole set. In a group of figures a small variation in the shades of the uniform and the equipment helps, so that they do not come across as copies of one and the same figure. The faces and the hands will stand out if you add a darker shade into the hollows and lighten the raised areas instead.
For modelers who build scenes from the Eastern Front and for collectors who want to add a human figure to vehicles in 1:32 scale. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
