A 1:48 masking set for models of the Ju 88 A-4, A-5, A-11 and A-14, prepared according to the name for four kits from the ICM brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War, built in a range of versions from a classic bomber to a night fighter. For a builder its distinguishing feature is the extensively glazed forward fuselage, in which the whole crew sat together. It is this glasshouse that is the most laborious part of the model: the frames are many, they are narrow and they run in several directions at once.
The name ties the set to four kits from the ICM brand in 1:48 scale, that is, to the A-4, A-5, A-11 and A-14 variants. The manufacturer's part numbers of the target kits are given directly in the name:
Which areas the set covers and how many parts it contains is stated on the manufacturer's packaging.
The masks are applied before spraying, onto a washed and degreased surface. Transfer the parts with tweezers, seat them by the frame and press the edges down well so that paint cannot seep under them. Spray in several thin coats; on long straight frames that shows most, because a heavy coat creates a step on the edge. Remove the masks once the paint has set, not after the finish has fully cured.
It will be appreciated by anyone building a Ju 88 in 1:48 scale who does not want to spend an evening cutting tape for dozens of small frames. Before buying, compare by number which of the kits listed you have at home.
The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
