A stencil in 1:48 scale for applying markings onto the concrete surface of an airfield. The motif is applied through the stencil laid on the finished surface of a base.
Responsibility details are not available.
The concrete surface of an airfield is a large uniform area on a diorama and without markings it works as empty. It is exactly the lines and signs on it that say the model is not standing somewhere on a board but on an apron or a taxiway. Drawing them exactly freehand is hard, though, and here a stencil in 1:48 scale does that work.
This is a stencil for applying markings onto the concrete surface of an airfield in 1:48 scale. Which particular signs and lines the stencil carries, in what number and what it is made of can be found from the manufacturer's information. The extent and the recommended procedure for applying it are on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions.
First finish the surface itself, that is the tones of the concrete, the joints and the dirt, and let it dry. Only then lay the stencil on, press it down over its whole area and apply the paint weakly. Freshly white markings look foreign in a scene with worn vehicles, so weaken them and break them up straight afterwards.
The stencil is intended for builders of airfield dioramas and display-case bases in 1:48 scale, whether under an aircraft or under ground vehicles. Even a beginner will manage the procedure; just try it out as a rehearsal. The model, a base, paints and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
