A masking set for the glazing of the Heinkel He 111 P-1 in 1:32 scale in the TFace version, that is, with masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. Cut for the Revell kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Heinkel He 111 in the P version had a fully glazed nose with irregularly divided panes running from the cockpit to the very tip of the fuselage. In a large scale this part of the model is very much on show: the glazing is transparent, so the interior can be seen and the frames are judged from outside and inside alike.
The set brings pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale. The TFace designation means that the pieces are prepared for both sides of the glazing, so the frames stay covered even when looking into the cockpit. Inner masking is useful above all when you leave the glazed parts open or when you light the interior. The shapes of the pieces match the Revell kit.
Stick the inner masks down before you seat the glazing parts into the fuselage, otherwise you will not be able to reach them later. Wash and degrease the glazing beforehand and press the masks down all around. Spray the paint in thin coats; when painting the inner side, begin with the interior shade and let it dry properly before you turn the model over. Take the masks off at the very end, slowly and at a shallow angle, so that the edge of the finish does not peel away with them.
The set is intended for modelers who want the glazing frames clean on both sides and do not want to cut them laboriously by hand. Those building the model with an open cockpit will appreciate it most. The package holds the masking set only; the kit, paints and glue are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
