A photo-etched metal set for the Airfix kit of the Junkers Ju 52/3mg4e in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 52/3m was a three-engine low-wing monoplane with a corrugated metal skin that carried passengers and freight and earned the nickname Tante Ju. Power came from three radial engines, one in the nose of the fuselage and one on the leading edge of each wing. The letter designation g4e belongs to one of the production versions of the type.
This is a photo-etched metal set that the name ties to the Ju 52/3mg4e kit by Airfix in 1:72 scale. Photo-etched sheet is considerably thinner than the same part in a kit, so it stands in more faithfully for elements that on the real aircraft are only a few millimeters thick: grilles, linkages, buckles and belts. The extent of the parts and the order in which they are fitted are given in the enclosed instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with scissors; scissors will ripple the edge. Make the bends over the edge of a rule or in a folding tool and hold the small elements with tweezers. Cement for polystyrene has no effect on thin sheet, so super glue is used, applied in a minute amount with a pin. Degrease the surface before painting and go over it with a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth sheet.
The set suits modelers who want to take a Ju 52 in a small scale beyond the contents of the box and do not mind working with very small parts. It pays to have a sharp blade, tweezers and a steady hand. The package holds photo-etched parts only; the kit, paints and glue are not supplied with them, unless stated otherwise.
