The Heinkel He 111 was a German twin-engined bomber with a long fuselage and a large wing. The P version carried a fully glazed nose with no stepped windscreen. On a large model in 1:32 scale the skin of the airframe is a prominent surface that is hard to bring to life with paint alone, and the panel layout on it reads even from a distance.
Colored SPACE series elements in 1:32 scale which, as the name says, are aimed at the surface panels, that is at the external surfaces of the model, not at the cockpit interior. The relief of the elements is raised, so the detail is not lost once they are applied. The set is tuned for Revell kits. Which panels it holds and exactly where they go is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before you paint the airframe.
The SPACE elements sit on a backing paper that is dampened with a moist sponge and a drop of dish soap; only that paper is wetted, never the element. Do not use a decal softener on them, as it would damage them. Paint the surface beneath, let the paint cure completely and clear the area of dust and grease. Lift the elements off one at a time with tweezers and lay them straight into place, fixing them with a drop of white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Press them down with a soft wooden stick from the center outwards so that no air is trapped underneath. Whether they can be clear coated once in place is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers who want to bring a large model to life on its external surfaces as well and not rely on paint and shading alone. It is patient work, because the elements go on one by one and poor placement is hard to correct on a finished coat. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
