What the set is for

Seatbelts are the first thing a viewer notices in a cockpit, because an empty seat always looks unfinished. On the He 111 P-1 bomber the interior is moreover visible through the extensive glazing of the nose and the side windows, so the belts on the seats cannot be hidden. And in the large 1:32 scale every detail of a buckle shows.

What the set offers

Pre-colored seatbelts of the SPACE range in 1:32 scale, as the name states. The relief is three-dimensional, so a belt does not look like a drawn strip but like a piece of webbing with its hardware. By the name, the set is tailored to Revell kits. How many seats the belts will cover is given by the manufacturer's instructions.

How the belts are applied

The elements of the SPACE range are printed on backing paper. Moisten only that paper with a damp sponge and a drop of detergent and lift the belt off it with tweezers; do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. First paint the seat and its surroundings and let the paint cure. Lay the belt onto a dry, degreased surface, fix it with a drop of PVA glue (white glue), as the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue, and press it down with a soft wooden stick. Let the surplus length hang loose over the edge of the seat or over the side; a naturally curved belt looks better than a taut one.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want the cockpit finished without the labor of making belts out of foil and without brushing in small buckles. It also suits cases where the cockpit stays open and the seats are seen close up. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
