A set of plastic historical figures, German paratroopers (tropical uniform) with the 10.5 cm LG 42 gun, in 1:32 scale from the output of the brand Mars Model. It is not one model but a set of soldiers in various poses completed by a gun, to be assembled, painted and used in dioramas. The package holds ten figures in five poses and two 10.5 cm LG 42 recoilless guns. The 1:32 scale corresponds to the classic figure size of roughly 54 mm.
The real subject is German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) of the Second World War in the tropical execution of the uniform, which was used in the Mediterranean area and in North Africa. The set is completed by the 10.5 cm LG 42 (Leichtgeschütz 42), a light recoilless gun whose low weight was an advantage precisely for airborne and mountain units. The set therefore makes it possible to build the crew of a heavy weapon in action, which tends to be a welcome addition to figures of paratroopers.
Carefully cut the parts of the figures and of the gun off the sprue and clean them up. Glue with a modeling cement for plastic, and small gaps can be strengthened with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a base coat (a primer) before painting. Paint the figures with a brush detail by detail: the tropical uniforms in sand and olive tones, the helmets, the equipment and the faces; a wash and a dry brush will bring the folds and the metal parts of the gun to life. Elements of dusty or desert terrain suit a diorama scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
