The Soviet I-16 type 24 fighter in 1:32 scale as a plastic kit from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet I-16 type 24 fighter in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian company ICM. The large scale allows rich detail in the cockpit and in the engine; the exact contents of the box are given in the instructions.
The I-16 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the 1930s, one of the first production cantilever low-wing monoplanes with retractable landing gear. The type 24 was a later modification with the M-63 radial engine and strengthened landing gear, built at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. The machines were used in the first years of the war on the Eastern Front.
In the large scale the cockpit interior stands out, so assemble and paint it first. Prepare the engine and its cowling separately. Use thin plastic cement; an airbrush suits the painting. Apply a primer before painting and bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
