A set of plastic historical figures, US Rangers (D-Day, the Second World War), in 1:32 scale from the output of the brand Mars Model. It is not one model but a set of soldiers in various poses to be assembled, painted and used in dioramas. The package holds fifteen figures in eight poses. The 1:32 scale corresponds to the classic figure size of roughly 54 mm.
The real subject is the men of the US Rangers, the elite assault units that made their name at the Allied landings in Normandy on 6 June 1944 (D-Day). The Rangers were given the hardest stretches of the coast; legendary above all is the assault on the steep cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, which they scaled in order to knock out a German artillery position. The figures capture soldiers in combat action with period American equipment and armament.
Carefully cut the parts off the sprue and clean them up. Glue with a modeling cement for plastic, and fine gaps can be strengthened with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a base coat (a primer) before painting. Paint the figures with a brush detail by detail: the olive green uniforms, the helmets, the equipment and the faces; a wash and a dry brush will bring out the folds and the edges. Elements of the coastline or of bunkers suit a diorama scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
