Detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bergepanzer T-60(r) recovery vehicle from MiniArt, in the version with a full interior. The kit renders the inside of the driver's compartment and of the engine compartment, including the engine. The set holds photo-etched parts, clear parts, individual track links and decals. All hatches can be positioned open. It is an extensive kit for more experienced modelers.
The Bergepanzer T-60(r) came from the German conversion of captured Soviet T-60 light tanks. The letter r in the designation refers to the captured Russian origin of the chassis. Removing the turret and reworking the vehicle produced a light recovery and towing vehicle that the Germans used for towing and auxiliary tasks on the Eastern Front. Power came from an engine derived from civilian automotive practice.
Work from the interior outward: assemble and paint the inside and the engine compartment before you close the vehicle up. Finish the running gear and the individual track links first as well. For weathering, use dark washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments, as auxiliary vehicles tend to be markedly dirty. Open hatches let the interior come into its own.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
