Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Cierva C.30 autogyro in the version with the winter ski landing gear. The package contains clear parts and decals for several marking options. The model is assembled and painted in the conventional way.
The Cierva C.30 was an autogyro designed by the engineer Juan de la Cierva, a pioneer of rotary-wing aircraft. Unlike a helicopter it has an unpowered rotor spun up by the airflow, and the thrust is provided by a conventional tractor propeller. The machine, from the first half of the 1930s, was also built under license in Great Britain and used for training, communications and observation. The ski conversion allowed operations from snow-covered and unprepared surfaces.
Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the clear parts with canopy glue so that they do not cloud. Assemble the rotor blades and the struts carefully on a flat surface for the sake of symmetry. We recommend priming, painting with an airbrush and blacking the openings out before masking. The skis and the lower surfaces are worth enlivening with light weathering in mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
